About Me
I was born in 1996 in Yorktown Heights, NY, about an hour north of New York City. I have been a lifelong Unitarian Universalist, and growing up, I attended a small congregation called the Fourth Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Westchester.
During my young years as a UU, I was fortunate to experience Religious Education with my cohort of five other youth; we completed all levels of OWL, and I “Came of Age” with this same small group. I was also lucky to have the opportunity to attend many regional “Cons” (youth conventions) with other children from the tri-state area (NY, NJ, and CT) starting in middle school. I spent my summers during high school at the Rowe Camp and Conference Center, attending three-week-long UU-specific “Senior High” camp sessions with other youth.
For my undergrad, I attended The George Washington University and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs with a focus on Sustainable Development in Sub-Saharan Africa. During this time, I was also an organizing member of Fossil Free GW, an on-campus fossil fuel divestment group, and a writer for Strategic Crisis Simulations, a semi-professional wargaming organization.
I decided to attend Seminary after a period of discernment regarding my post-undergraduate education. I had long felt the call to Unitarian Universalist ministry, and I had my heart set on attending a UU seminary - I knew Starr King was the place for me, and I was ecstatic to begin my journey at the school in the Summer of 2021!
While taking classes at Starr King, I also work as a Program Manager and Data Analyst for Tesla Government, Inc. (not related to Elon Musk’s Tesla!) where I support several State Department programs.
In addition to my Seminary coursework, I facilitate a Unitarian Universalist Congregational Curriculum at my local congregation entitled WEAV. I also developed and sustain my own online initiative for social justice named The Languishing Project.
I currently reside in Cambridge, MA, with my fiancé and two kittens. Outside of school and work, I enjoy reading fantasy novels, playing video games, and spending time in nature.
